Hell? Hard Pass
This 12th-century handscroll depicts scenes of hell, focusing on a realm called "Unka Mu." This hell is reserved for those who commit sins such as killing, theft, and sexual misconduct, as well as those who make monks drink alcohol, get them drunk, insult them, and boast about it with delight. Sinners are thrown into flames by hell guardians, burn to ashes, are revived, and thrown in again—an endless cycle of suffering.
