Front and Center Among the Wisdom Kings
The Wisdom King Fudō is regarded as an incarnation of Dainichi Nyorai and is revered as the central figure among the Myōō deities. In his right hand, he holds a three-pronged sword to cut through delusions and karma; in his left, a rope called a kensaku, used to subdue evil and save sentient beings. Behind him, flames representing the divine bird Garuda from ancient India blaze fiercely.
