This Buddhist statue, created in the 9th–10th century, depicts Nyoirin Kannon, a six-armed form of the bodhisattva Kannon. It holds a wish-fulfilling jewel and a dharma wheel, symbolizing the suppression of earthly desires. According to legend, it was discovered in the early Edo period, having emerged from the sea.
