This clay figurine was made during the late Jomon period, around 2000 to 1000 BC. Excavated in Saitama City, it is notable for its facial features, which resemble an owl. The protrusions on the head are thought to represent tied-up hair or perhaps a comb, while the circular markings on the ears may have served as decoration.
