This work depicts the bridge over the Sumida River in the rain. The heavy rain and hazy distant scene from a bird's-eye view capture people hurrying across the bridge with umbrellas and rain gear, telling us that it is an evening shower. It is also famous that Vincent Van Gogh later copied it in oil painting.
