Genghis Who?

The first emperor of the Mongol Empire, Genghis Khan lived from the 12th to the 13th century. Born the son of the head of a powerful tribe, he was the first to unify several nomadic tribes into an empire. “Khan" is a title referring to a king. The Mongol Empire grew under his rule and stretched from China to Eastern Europe, laying the foundation for what is now known as the world empire. In Japan, there was a legend that he was the same person as Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
