Nevermind

Nirvana represents the Buddha's passing, not as physical death, but as transcending the world through enlightenment. Uncommon for Nirvana paintings, this work depicts sal trees resembling the jeweled trees of paradise. The disciples show little sorrow, and a striking feature is the two figures in a foreign style dancing across a censer, adding a unique touch.
